Boeing gets another shot at aerial tanker contract |

The General Accounting Office has ruled that Boeing should get another chance to bid on a $35 billion Air Force contract awarded to Northrop Grumman Corp. earlier this year.
Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co. were awarded the contract in February to build the KC-45A tankers in partnership with EADS, the corporate parent of European-based Airbus.
The contract could means billions in orders for GE Aviation in Evendale, whose CF6 engines power the KC-45A. GE Aviation is a unit of General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE), headquartered in Fairfield, Conn.
